On the occasion, Mr. Qaiser Baryar, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) expressed his gratitude and gave a warm welcome to the E-Commerce Galaxy team and announced the collaboration of SCCI with E-Commerce Galaxy, to help business communities and members of Chamber in uplifting their E-Commerce businesses. An MOU was also signed between SCCI and E-Commerce Galaxy.
Ms. Ayesha Moriani Sahiba, Joint Secretary Ministry of Commerce congratulated SCCI and Galaxy team for arranging such a knowledge-rich seminar focused on E-Commerce awareness for the people of Sialkot. She also shared brief information on how Amazon allowed Pakistan in their seller central list, and what was the role of the ministry of commerce, and industrialists in making this happen!
In an essence, these were some of the high points of the event!
1) A company can be registered in 4 hours on SECP’s e-portal.
2) Any issues related to Payoneer will be sorted out on priority for the people including the members of E-Commerce Galaxy.
3) Payoneer has become the Premium Payment Partner of eBay as well.
4) PITB is starting a special training program that will assist the youth in earning a sustainable income.
5) A detailed presentation was given by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) of PSW (Pakistan single-window operation), on how to get registered on the portal, how it will work for importers and exporters and how will this simplify the whole banking system.
State Bank also gave a brief presentation on the policies that have been designed to accommodate E-Commerce sellers (B2B2C ) chapter 12B, it was elaborated how to get payments in Pakistan, how files will be cleared in banks against exports under this B2B2C platform.
