About this course

This qualification is designed as a combined Business and Administrative Management qualification with e-commerce modules. Modules studied are relevant specifically to train students with the ability to work as self-employed, seek employment in the e-commerce industry or to progress on to the higher level qualifications. This qualification is equivalent to the year one of the undergraduate degree (BA/BSc) in the UK.

The award allows learners to acquire a range of knowledge and understanding and to develop some of the key skills required to work in an e-commerce environment. This is done through learning in a number of units.

    Modules

    Learners must complete 120 credits. This includes all eight mandatory units, worth 100 credits. They must then select at least two optional units with a minimum credit value of 20.

    The total qualification time is 1200 hours.

    The total guided learning hours is 480 hours.

    Entry Requirements
    • You must be aged 18 or over to take this qualification.
    • have either 2 or more GCE A levels and 5 or more GCSEs at grades C and above
    • level 3 qualifications in relevant subjects
    • must have an appropriate standard of English to enable you to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments
    • other equivalent international qualifications
    Award

    On successful completion, students will be eligible for the award of Extended Diploma in Management Advanced Diploma in Business at Level 4 by the ATHE which is an internationally recognised award for entry into university for progression into higher education. The 120 credits secured can be transferred internationally to progress.
